Years ago, a few neighborhood moms started Prescott Parents,  a “grass-roots” effort intending to change the perception of a fleeting Chicago public elementary school.  We dove head first into this 8 year journey because we believe in public school.  Who could have possibly known how far we would come, the success we would enjoy and the pride we would feel.  Prescott Parents has been there since day 1—we have helped raise awareness of our success, helped fund school necessities and welcomed an increasingly growing school population into Prescott. 

Our role as it had been defined, — “let’s make Prescott a viable school option for our kids” — has been served and boy, have we served it well!  Like everything, it is time to re-evaluate our purpose and re-define our role within the Prescott School community.  With the on-going and incredible support of our volunteer base, Prescott Parents will assume a new role — “keeping you connected!” 

With a new logo and a new mission, we are your social connection to Prescott. 

The NEW Mission of Prescott Parents:

To create a socially relevant community of supporters that embraces our journey, believes in public education and promotes academic excellence.

HOW DO WE DO THIS?
----  Prescott Parents has become the marketing arm of Prescott.  We create social settings for supporters to meet, lead tours to new families, answer questions new and prospective families have about the school and keep YOU updated on what is going on inside the four walls of Prescott.

Our rebranding effort is a clear indicator on how far we have come.  A little but mighty school exceeds all expectations through the diligent efforts of the community, parents, faculty and staff — it’s a great headline that warrants a new message — keeping you connected!



Prescott School is a magnet cluster focused on literature and writing. Currently considered a "neighborhood school", Prescott is located on the corner of Wrightwood and Ashland just kitty corner from Wrightwood Park.
